The set of chalice linens “Crown of Thorns” has been designed as a cohesive and harmonious whole, where the form is subordinated to the theological content. The central decorative motif is the cross inscribed within the symbolism of the crown of thorns, clearly referring to the mystery of the Passion of the Lord and the sacrifice of Christ.
The applied embroidery in shades of purple and muted tones gives the set a serious, contemplative character, suitable for penitential and Passion celebrations. The decorations are arranged sparingly and symmetrically, thus they do not dominate the altar space, but rather organize and calm it.
